Barkada is the Filipino Club of Fairleigh Dickinson University. The club's name comes from the Tagalog word of the same name, which means "a group of friends". Barkada has educated the Fairleigh Dickinson University community for the past six years.

One of the biggest ways Barkada educates the FDU community is with its General Body Meetings. Each meeting members get information about the Filipino culture through history, current events, and entertaining activities. Barkada host various events such as food trips, mixers, and even sporting events such as the annual Tennis Tournament. The biggest event of the year, however, is Barrio. Barrio is Barkada's cultural showcase which incorporates song, dance, and entertainment all into one night.

However, Barkada is not just about educating the FDU community, its about connecting many students and enhancing the college experience. Barkada brings not only friendship to a member's college experience, we bring an experience that makes us more of a family rather than friends.
